L’Orto d’Asporto farm produces seasonal vegetables grown with the utmost respect for the natural balance of the land and the ecosystem that composes it. Federico and Laura carefully select the seeds and carefully monitor the development of the fruits up to manual harvesting. They pay attention to maintaining the fertility of the soil but without the use of chemical and organic fertilizers. This way the plants don't get sick and need less care. This type of agriculture is designed to have a low environmental impact. Irrigation takes place by gravity, without the aid of electricity, with the drop-by-drop method, recovering rainwater or drawing from a well. The vegetables are harvested on the same day to ensure a fresh and nutrient-rich product. The company also produces a line of processed products: tomato sauces and sauces, compotes and jams, up to the dishes of agricultural gastronomy.
