Biella Gold Seekers Association is a no-profit association which is responsible for keeping alive the tradition of gold mining (born more than 2000 years ago), promoting it as an educational and cultural tourism experience. The Association bought in 2000 , in the small hamlet of Vermogno di Zubiena, the land where Victimula stands, the village of Italian gold diggers. This village is the capital of alluvial gold exploration in Italy, with the Visitor Center of the Bessa Special Nature Reserve, the ancient open-cast gold mine from the Roman era, and the Gold and Bessa Museum.
The search for gold takes place in the Elvo stream, the gold-bearing watercourse among the most appreciated by gold prospectors from all over the world.
