“Our story begins in 2003, when we decided to buy and renovate an old farmhouse, formerly used as a stable and barn. We had the goal of living in contact with nature in the most sustainable and self-sufficient way possible. The two stone huts, available to visitors, have been renovated with the use of natural materials such as stone, wood and cork.
Sanitary and heating water is produced exclusively with wood and solar panels.
We also raise a small flock of Suffolk sheep that help maintain the grass (to minimize the use of cutting machinery) and produce an excellent fertilizer for garden cultivation and fruit plants. The recovery of some old chestnut trees, the Arbo, was also very important. The chestnut is a historically very important fruit in our area, so much so that the chestnut is also called the bread tree ". (Ruggero Zorio).
