The Association of the Italian Red Cross is a voluntary organization and its purpose is to provide health and social assistance both in times of peace and in times of conflict. The C.R.I. it is part of the International Red Cross Movement. In its actions at the international level it coordinates with the International Committee of the Red Cross, in countries in conflict, and with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent for other interventions. The "Biella solidale" project was born in June 2020 to create a network of services to support people in disadvantaged situations and offer immediate and permanent solutions, in synergy with the Social Services, the municipal administrations and the voluntary associations of Biella. Particular attention is paid to all those who find themselves in difficult situations due to the pandemic. For these cases, the delivery of food parcels and taking charge by the social workers is foreseen.
