The SisAgro agricultural company includes six sustainable farms located between Piedmont and Sicily: in Scicli and Mottalciata dairy goats are raised from which raw goat's milk cheese is produced, while in Granieri they mainly produce vegetables, olives for oil. extra virgin olive oil, oranges, tangerines and prickly pears. Agricultural structures use the energy produced by photovoltaic panels useful for the operation of electrical equipment. The animals follow an organic diet without the use of GMOs and growth hormones and are left free to graze.
Scilla, the owner, only works with raw milk. By not pasteurizing the milk, the organoleptic properties remain unchanged: the natural bacterial load necessary for the regularity of the intestine, vitamin A which strengthens vision and the immune system, vitamin B6 which promotes good mood, vitamin C necessary for development of connective tissue, the prevention of free radicals and to stimulate the assimilation of iron and folic acid and the vitamin D necessary for brain development.
The vegetables are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, following seasonality and crop rotation.
